Director of Life Ministries

Lisa McDaniel has been a member of Saint Mark United Methodist Church for over 20 years.  She joined the Saint Mark team as Director of Life Ministries March of 2019. The daughter of the late Pastor Vickie McDaniel, Lisa is passionate about living a purpose driven, faith filled life and encouraging others to do the same.


Lisa holds a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from Wichita State University, as well as a Master of Arts in Human Resource Management from Webster University.  A former Sedgwick County Children’s Case Manager and Public Service Administrator for the State of Kansas Department for Children and Families, Lisa understands the importance of engaging with others and providing opportunities for growth and development.  Lisa comes with 15 years of experience in leadership, staff development, coaching, employee relations, and group facilitation. She is an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. where she is a Co-Chair for Delta G.E.M.S., a teen empowerment group for young ladies in high school.  

Lisa currently works as a Human Resources Employment Specialist and Title IX Coordinator. On campus, she is involved with the Black Student Union, Diversity Task Force, and was recently awarded the 2019 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Distinguished Service Award.

Ms. McDaniel is an active participant here at Saint Mark UMC. She is a member of the Church Council, Crisis Team, Committee on Nominations, Fellowship Friends, Assimilation, and Young Adult Ministries. A mother of three, Lisa enjoys spending time with her children: Joesya, Jayden, and Elgin. Jr.  She also enjoys managing her daily inspirational blog NuSeasn and working on upcoming projects.  

Her favorite scripture is Ecclesiastes 3:1, “To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven”. (KJV)
