Junius Dotson is senior pastor of Saint Mark United Methodist Church in Wichita, KS. Pastor Dotson offers unique strategies to the unique challenges and opportunities confronting every generation. Pastor Dotson is prepared both spiritually and academically. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in political science - with a concentration in economics - at the University of Texas at Arlington. Pastor Dotson began his postgraduate work at Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, and earned his Master of Divinity degree from the Pacific School of Religion in Berkeley, California.

Ordained in the United Methodist Church in 1992, Pastor Dotson responded to the awesome challenge in 1996 to plant a new and innovative church in the Silicon Valley, Genesis United Methodist Church. The unique innovations and effective leadership of Pastor Dotson grew the church to nearly 500 members and the ministry frequently received publicity from mainstream media organizations in The San Jose Mercury News, The San Francisco Examiner, The Sacramento Bee, religious journals, and segments on CBS Radio's "The Osgood File," as well as the NBC affiliate KRON Channel 4 in San Francisco.

Pastor Dotson serves on the Board of Ordained Ministry and the Revitalization Taskforce of the Kansas West Conference. He is a 2007 graduate of Leadership Wichita. Active in the Wichita community, Pastor Dotson currently serves on the Kansas Food Bank, Board of Directors. Pastor Dotson was appointed by the Governor of Kansas to serve on the Kansas Sentencing Commission Advisory Board.

He is married to Christina and they are the proud parents of two children: Wesley and Janelle.
